Help!!!

Okay, I think I am hitting system overload. I started writing all that I have going in the next few weeks and I was about to cry so I just erased it so I could attempt to think positively. Suffice it to say, I am crazy busy and I need your help. I am giving a fireside at YW camp in a few weeks and I am terrified that I won't be able to relate to the girls (because I am so old) or know what to say (because I am a dork). I need your ideas and inspiration...please!!! The theme is "Daughter of a King". Any thoughts and suggestions would be great. Also I want to think of something really fun for a handout too. I have some ideas, but the longer I think about them the more they seem silly. Help!!!

Cosmic Question

What to do with a hula-hoop that is shaped more like a lemon?

"A Few of my Favorite Things"

I've been trying to be a little more grateful in general lately so I've decided to start keeping a running list of little things that make me smile and add to this beautiful experience we call life. ---
  1. Hearing my children pray
  2. Jocelyn's 1930's A-Line hair cut
  3. That Aimee's hair is long enough for a pony-tail
  4. When Cody puts my "malt shop" music on in the kitchen--I know it's not his most favorite but he is learning to appreciate it because he knows I love it--what a stud!
  5. Looking at my neighbor's beautiful yard full of flowers--way to go Kathy!
  6. My piano, unfortunately I only touch it to dust it, but there is the dream of time to play it someday
  7. Cinnamon and sugar toast made on whole wheat bread with the little seeds in it

My Heros

I just want to do a shout out and say Kudoos to all my friends who've been exercising faithfully--way to stick with it, I'm so proud.

Puppy-Love

Jocelyn our soon to be 5 year old is absolutely darling just about every minute of the day. But we are a little concerned about one thing--she is positively obsessed with Peter Pan!!! She has been in the mode of "trying to grow up much faster than mom and dad want" for about a year now, but it's just been in the last six months that her casual interest for Peter Pan has turned into a full blown obsession. I was first tipped off when I found her crying in her bedroom, wearing a dress-up dress, and holding a small silk flower. I asked what was wrong and she said that she was all dressed to marry Peter Pan but he didn't show up and now she didn't think he loved her any more. (What are they showing on Disney channel these days?) I consoled her as best as I could and told her the proverbial "One day you'll meet a nice boy who will love and appreciate you". She calmed down and I thought she'd be over it in five minutes and back to playing "little girl" games. I couldn't have been more wrong. Since then she and Peter Pan have "made up" and he is the silent and slightly invisible (but don't say that to Joc.) guest at our house day in and day out. Everything Jocelyn has she says Peter Pan gave her and everything she knows how to do she says Peter Pan taught her. I have to get her ready, again, every afternoon before Peter Pan picks her up for her "date", and she has to ask his opinion of everything that happens in our house. Someone please tell me this is a phase and that my adorable, baby of a little girl is normal and will someday, someday soon preferrably, get over her first "crush".
